Hello all artists all over the world !

You are kindly invited to congratulate Finland. Next year 2017 Finland is celebrating 100 years of independency. The whole year will be full of celebrations all over the country.

One way to congratulate celebrating Finland is to participate in this mail art project. I wish you want to be a part of team which is making this exhibition which will be in November 2017. The exhibition will be in Mainlibrary Arkki, Pälkäne, Finland.

Techinic is free on paper or cardboard.

Size is european standard A4, ONLY horizontal.

Every participant can send max. three art works to this project.

Add also your name, address and e-mail address. All information and the documentation will be sent only by e-mail.

Please, send with stamps in an envelope by snail mail. Do not bend.

No participation fee, no jury, no return.

Please, remember that in public library visit people of every age.

DEADLINE 31.8.2017

It would be a pleasure if you want to invite also all your artist friends to this project. It would be wonderful to have the whole gallery room full of congratulations.

Hundred years is something very unique. I will send the next independency celebration invitation only when there will be hundred years more.

Mail Art Research Project

Hi!
The web exhibition in the theme of "What mail art means to me?" is now complete.
You can find it from here: http://mailartmeans.blogspot.com/.

I received lots of mail art and I´m very grateful for that. Altogether I
received 66 artworks from 11 different countries.

My recearch for my bachelors degree is also now finished. The subject for my
research was "How internet has effected to mail art and what meaning mail art
has to the mail artists." Unfortunately it´s in finnish. I was planning to write
a short article in english to the website but it has to wate for now, because
I´m going to travel the next two months. I will inform again when I have
completed the article.

Thank you for everybody who participated by answering to the survey or by
sending me mail art, it was very helpful for my research!

I´m Miina Ruokonen and I´m making a bachelors research about Mail Art and Internet in Turku university in Finland. If you would like to help me you could participate by answering to a survey, which you can find from here Click Here to take survey. Answering will only take a few minutes. The survey will be open till January 16, 2009.

You can also participate by sending me mail art in the theme of "What mail art means to me?". All the mail art I receive will be in a web exhibition which comes out after the research. The size and technique is free. The deadline for the mail art is March 31, 2009.

Mail Art Research Project

I´m Miina Ruokonen and I´m new in this group.

I´m studying at Turku university in Finland and right now making my
bachelors research. My bachelors research is going to be about mail
art and internet.

I´m hoping that through this group I could reach mail artist/mail art
activists who would like to help me in my research. You can help me by
answering to a survey which is going to be on the internet in the
beginning of January. I will inform the surveys webpage later on this
year through this group.
