Anything Goes.... Everything Shows! (USA)

Our mail art show "Anything Goes…Everything Shows!" is back! Send in an entry and/or share with others! Thanks!
Uncensored free-style mail art show using the postal system as a medium. ALL submissions received by mail WILL be exhibited. ANY medium, size, shape or theme! ANYONE can enter!
Mail artists typically exchange ephemera in the form of illustrated letters; zines; rubberstamped, decorated, or illustrated envelopes; artist trading cards; postcards; artistamps; faux postage; mail-interviews; naked mail; friendship books, decos and three-dimensional objects. Based on Dada and Fluxus art movements, such as by Ray Johnson from Black Mountain College, mail art can range from pop art to found objects to just about any medium. You don't need to be an artist, just embellish something and put a stamp on it and our PO address, if it makes it through the post office to us, we will exhibit your work! Don't put it in a box!!! Don't hide your art and expression! Let all who touch it experience its journey! Just stamp and mail.

Theme: Motherhood: Artfully Challenging the Narrative, Deconstructing the Good Mother/Bad Mother Stereotype

Your
contributions of art, stories and experience will be displayed in The
Mama Temple, a mobile art installation. One of the goals, through this
collaboration of Art and Story is bringing healing and reconciliation to
ourselves and others, about trauma, awakenings, truths and repressed
emotions we hold on to about our own motherhood experiences.
What
we perceive as positive and negative views of Motherhood intertwines.
Such views are lost and found in this collaboration. The Mama Temple can
compel the viewer to rethink preconceived ideas about the very nature
of motherhood.

~Deadline: Submissions must be received by May 15, 2022
~Any media, any format, 6” x 9” either mailed as a post card or in an envelope. Up to 4 entries per artist.
~Anyone in the world may submit artwork. No fee, no jury, no returns.
~All artwork received will be considered donated to the non-profit organization ARTLIFE Foundation.
~Include an Your Name, Mailing Address, and E-MAIL Address with each submission. Please SIGN your artwork.
Note: 1. Artists may submit up to 4 pieces. 2. Work of students in an art class may be submitted in one envelope.
