Positive Postcards - UK

Positive Postcards

Positive Postcards is a project to create a ‘wall of art’ on a theme of positive mental health -

create a postcard sized piece of art and mail it to us. Use any medium (collage, paint or

photography for example) with or without text - you could even write a poem!

The work will initially be displayed at The Lowry, Salford Quays on World Mental Health Day,

10 October 2013.

Submitting your work

Theme: Positive mental health.

Artwork size: ‘Postcard’ sized - minimum 3 ½” x 5” Maximum 4 ¼” x 6 (The artwork on

the postcard can be either horizontal or vertical)

Technique: Any drawing, painting, collage, mixed media piece, photograph or poem. Make

sure the glue or paint is dry!

Information to include: Your name and location (for example: ‘Susan Smith, Bradford,

England’- but only include the details you are happy to make public) and organisation if

appropriate. Post it like you would a postcard, no need for an envelope* - a good message can

also be shared along the way! (*groups may want to save on postage by sending several submissions

at one time - we understand!)

Postage: Ensure that you use the correct postage to reach the UK

Deadline: 27th September 2013.

Can you return my artwork?: Sorry - No. We are a small, self-funded voluntary

organisation without the means to return any artworks submitted - we appreciate your work

and will do our best to use and publish it on the Making Mental Health Positive Facebook page.

Can I submit more than one Positive Postcard?: Yes, by all means!

Where do I post my artwork?:
