The Richmond Art Gallery's 4th Annual Artist Trading Card Exhibition is a display of Artist Trading
Cards (ATCs) from local, national, and international participants. Everyone is invited to
participate, and all techniques and mediums are welcome. Throughout the exhibition there will be
drop-in workshops, trading sessions, artist talks, and a gala closing celebration/trading session.
All contributors will receive a copy of the full-colour exhibition poster featuring one of their works.

What Are ATCs? Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are miniature works of original art measuring 2 ½” x
3 ½” that are made to trade. This international art movement is intended to be a non-commercial,
non-hierarchical, non-judgemental avenue for artistic exchange.

2009 ATC Exhibition Guidelines:
ATCs will be on display in the gallery coinciding with the exhibition Migration/Immigrant Stories by
Elizabeth Russell, and the group exhibition Black Hole is Also Supernova by Colleen Brown,
Paul Kajander, Kara Uzelman. View our website for details on these exhibitions and for ideas of
related themes: www.richmondartgallery.org.

ATCs must be original artworks, and may be in a series, edition or multiple. Please “sign” the
back of each card. All ATCs will be traded on the closing night of the exhibition. We will try to
ensure fair trades for those not in attendance for the closing Trading Session: original works will
be traded for originals, and digital works will be traded with other digital works.

To Enter: Send in 9 Artist Trading Cards in a standard 9-sleeve plastic sheet (9 cards per sheet).
Cards will be displayed in the plastic sheets. Cards must each measure 2 ½” x 3 ½” in order to
qualify. All works received that follow this criteria will be exhibited.
